The State of Kuwait lies in West Asia, in the northeast of the Arabian Peninsula and northwest of the Persian Gulf. It is rich in oil and gas resources, with proven oil reserves of 94 billion barrels — about 10% of the world total and the fourth largest globally.
At the end of 2018, two SW10-D1 Iron Roughnecks crossed the ocean to Kuwait together with the rigs of Bohai Drilling International Engineering Company, assigned to Bohai Drilling's Kuwait crews BHDC-39 and BHDC-40. JJC service engineer Li Yangyang traveled abroad and completed equipment commissioning within days. Both Iron Roughnecks have been in operation ever since, earning high recognition from the local operator and customer.
